Before I get to the photos I'm going to bore some of you with the nitty gritty details of the workshop. This is for all of you who wanted to know what we learned!
For those of you who don't know, Scott Jarvie held a contest where the winners would attend a free weekend photography workshop. I won a spot in the workshop! The theme of the workshop was Attractions/Distractions. The first part of the day Jarvie went through several things that attracted people to a photo and several things that distracted inside of a photo. There were a few things I already knew and a lot that I needed a refresher course on. It was perfect! If you want my notes on that click here.
After lunch we had a sort of Q&A session that talked mostly about flash. Most of the people in attendance were looking to get into more flash photography so we spent a good deal on the topic.
After Q&A we were off to shoot! We began in a dark parking garage. My camera/lens do not bode well with low light so I ended up using one of Jarvie's Nikons. I spent the first hour flustered over getting to know how his camera worked. It wasn't until we submerged from the low light that I figured out how Nikons functioned. Unfortunately, my chance to work with models/flash equipment was over. We spent the rest of the night taking photos. Jarvie came around and would give us hints and help us along with a new way to frame a photo.
Without further ado, here are some photos from the day!

This was actually a mistake that I ended up saving in PS.
Lucky save me thinks =)
